Md. State Police arrest murder suspects

WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police have arrested a man and a woman in connection with a fatal shooting.

Police say twenty-six-year-olds Lester Snyder and Meghan Goforth of Windsor Mill have been charged with the murder of 23-year-old Luis Pol. Snyder and Goforth also face robbery charges.

Police say they responded to a call from a motorist on Route 32 at Nicodemus Road near Gamber just before 11 p.m on Saturday. When they arrived police discovered Pol, who was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say Goforth and Snyder were acquaintances of Pol’s, and believe the motive for the crime was robbery. Police say both are expected to appear in court on Sunday.

A number for Snyder was out of service Sunday. Goforth did not appear to have a listed number.
