Arrest made in 14 Baltimore-area armed robberies

BALTIMORE (AP) — The FBI has made an arrest in a string of 14 armed robberies in the Baltimore area in less than two months.

Police said Thursday that they arrested 42-year-old Kieran Williams in East Baltimore on Wednesday night without incident.

Investigators say Williams is suspected of robbing 14 stores at gunpoint between Aug. 4 and Sept. 21, including pet shops, electronics stores and a pharmacy. They say he would approach the register to buy an item before pulling a gun from his waistband and demanding money from clerks.

It’s unclear whether Williams has an attorney.

Williams’ arrest came after a tipster called the FBI’s Violent Task Force. The tipster collected a financial reward.
