VP Biden to attend Star-Spangled spectacular

BALTIMORE (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to attend the Star-Spangled Spectacular in Baltimore.

The National Park Service says the vice president is scheduled to attend the event on Saturday. It is being held at the Fort McHenry National Monument to observe the bicentennial of the writing of The Star-Spangled Banner.

Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley also is scheduled to attend, along local and federal officials.

California Rep. Nancy Pelosi is scheduled to be at the event, as well as Maryland Sens. Barbara Mikulski and Ben Cardin.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is scheduled to attend as well.
