LONACONING, Md. (AP) -- An Allegany County woman is facing a second-degree murder charge in the fatal stabbing of her husband.

Investigators say 28-year-old Jessyca Kimble stabbed her 29-year-old husband, Edward Kimble, with a steak knife during a fight at their home near Lonaconing on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say after he was stabbed in the chest, Edward Kimble ran to a neighbor's house and knocked on the door before collapsing. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Jessyca Kimble is awaiting an appearance before a court commissioner. The slaying remains under investigation by the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit. Investigators say they obtained a DNA sample and other physical evidence from Jessyca Kimble.
