Annapolis reports first homicide of 2014

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Annapolis is reporting its first homicide of 2014.

Police say they responded to a report of shots fired in the 1100 block of Madison Street at around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday. When officers arrived they found a man on the ground near a bench at the baseball field. The man had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Annapolis Police Department Sgt. Eric Crane says investigators are still trying to identify the victim. No arrests have been made.
