2 teens charged with beating, robbing men

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police have charged two teenagers with attempted murder after two men were beaten and robbed in separate incidents in Somerset County.

Troopers say at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, a man was unloading his car in Princess Anne when a teenager with a gun demanded money. Police say a second teen appeared and both beat the man with the gun and their fists when he said he didn’t have any money.

Officers say a few minutes later, another man confronted two teenagers who were looking into his car. One suspect pointed a gun at him and demanded money. Troopers say the teenagers beat the man.

Eighteen-year-old Carlos Briddell Jr. of Princess Anne and a 17-year-old were arrested and charged with attempted murder, robbery and assault.
