Baltimore board approves plan for ice skating rink

BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore’s Board of Estimates has approved an agreement to install an ice rink at the Inner Harbor.

The board on Wednesday approved a 5-year licensing agreement with Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore to put an ice rink at McKeldin Park for public use during the winter. The agreement calls on the partnership to pay Baltimore $1 a year for 10 years to use the space

The Daily Record reports (http://bit.ly/1qyTTSy ) that Rink Management Services will run the rink, and the Waterfront Partnership is looking for sponsors to fund the project.

The partnership will be responsible for the maintenance, management and utilities.
