2 plead guilty to 7 convenience store robberies

BALTIMORE (AP) — Two men have pleaded guilty to robbing seven Baltimore convenience stores at gunpoint during an eight-day crime spree.

Twenty-three-year-old Monte Glascoe and 37-year-old Gary Cordell Howard, both of Baltimore, entered the pleas this week in federal court in Baltimore.

According to their plea agreements, Glascoe and Howard robbed the 7-Eleven stores between July 18 and July 26, 2013. Prosecutors say in each crime, the men pointed a gun at victims and stole money from cash registers and cigarettes.

Howard and Glascoe each face a maximum of 20 years in prison at sentencing in August and September, respectively.
