UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) — A man has been convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend in Berwyn Heights in 2012.
Prosecutors say Andrew Kugler has been found guilty of first degree murder in the death of his ex-girlfriend, Amber Schinault.
At trial, prosecutors showed evidence that Kugler was depressed from his breakup with Schinault, crawled through a basement window and killed her.
Sentencing is set for Aug. 22. Kugler, who was also found guilty of third degree burglary, is facing a maximum sentence of life without parole.
A message left Thursday for his attorney was not immediately returned.
