Man convicted of DUI in fatal Delmar crash

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) — A man has been convicted of DUI and homicide by motor vehicle after a passenger in his car was killed in a collision with a tow truck.

A Wicomico County Circuit Court jury convicted 49-year-old Timothy Brumbley of Mardela Springs on Wednesday.

Prosecutors say on Feb. 19, 2013, Brumbley was driving in Delmar when he hit a tow truck. A passenger in his car, 54-year-old Thomas M. Hitch of Salisbury, was injured and died Feb. 24, 2013, at Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
