FORESTVILLE, Md. -- Police are looking for suspects after an attempted robbery at a CVS store in Prince George's County Monday morning.
Prince George's County Police say a driver smashed a vehicle into the windows of the front entrance of the CVS store located at 7012 Marlboro Pike in Forestville, Md., some time between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Monday. Officials say they believe it was an attempt to take an ATM from the store.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a black Ford pickup truck backed up in front of the broken glass. Also, a silver minivan was backed up next to the truck with its hatch open. The drivers were gone.
Police say the ATM was not stolen and they are working to determine if suspects stole any other items from the store.
"It's currently still under investigation, they're assessing the damage and also to find out if anything was taken," says Cpl. Nate Lewis with Prince George's County Police.
No one was injured.
After combing the truck and minivan for evidence, police towed the two cars.
Orange stickers that say, "Do Not Enter, Do Not Occupy" have been posted on the store.
There are no suspects in the case, but there are several security cameras on the store that may yield more clues and lead police to the suspects.
Officials have not released information about when CVS will reopen for business.
