BALTIMORE (AP) -- A health care enrollment fair is drawing hundreds of Maryland residents who are trying to beat Monday's midnight deadline to enroll in a plan.
LaVerne Henson arrived Saturday morning at the Baltimore Convention Center to get in-person help, after having tried six times in frustration to enroll through the state's troubled online exchange website. She says she waited about an hour to see a navigator and enrolled in a plan in less than 20 minutes. The Baltimore resident says her experience Saturday was very positive.
Anthony Ambrose, of Glen Burnie, says enrolling was easy with help. Ambrose and his wife, Katie, waited about an hour and got insurance after spending about 20 minutes with a navigator.
The fair runs until 4 p.m.
