CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) -- An inmate convicted of stomping his cellmate to death has been sentenced to life in prison.
Prosecutors say 45-year-old Corgiss Ross was convicted on Friday of first-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Jerod Pridget.
Ross and Pridget were inmates at the Western Correctional Institution in Cumberland. Authorities say on Nov. 26, 2012, Pridget was found in his cell, bleeding from massive head injuries. He died at Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
