HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- State police say two people were killed in a single-vehicle crash in Hagerstown.

Police say the driver, 31-year-old Shawn Minnick of Hagerstown, lost control of her BMW coupe around 2 a.m. Saturday on Cearfoss Pike. Police say Minnick ran off the road while trying to pass another car. Her car hit a utility pole, a utility box and a boulder before coming to rest on its roof.

Minnick and her male passenger, 29-year-old Courtney Bridge, were killed.
