WASHINGTON - A man with ties to Ellicott City was one of two winning Doritos ads that aired during Sunday's Super Bowl.
Raj Suri's ad titled "Time Machine" was among five finalists. The ad along with fellow winner "Cowboy Kid" are now eligible for the $1 million prize, based on the number of fan votes, according to Doritos.
The company plans to announce the grand-prize winner Monday.
Suri worked with his friend Ryan Anderson, who directed the film and whose son starred in the $300 spot, according to the Baltimore Sun.

WASHINGTON - A Maryland native is just votes away from debuting his ad during the next Super Bowl.
Raj Suri, who grew up in Ellicott City, Md., created an ad that is currently one of five finalists in this year's Doritos Crash the Super Bowl contest.
In the ad, titled "Time Machine," a man eating a bag of Doritos is duped by a little boy running a time machine scam.
Suri, who is a software engineer in Arizona, says it cost a total of $300 to shoot and produce the commercial.
"The support has just been incredible," Suri says.
The winning commercial not only airs during the Super Bowl, but the winning team receives $1 million.
