MoCo police ask for help locating missing Germantown woman

UPDATE 8:28 a.m. 12/29/2013:

The Montgomery County police say Fanny Rivera returned home overnight.

EARLIER:

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police ask for the public’s assistance in locating a woman missing from Germantown, Md.

Fanny Rivera, age 60, of the 20800 block of Tall Forest Drive in Germantown, was last seen leaving her residence on Saturday, Dec. 28 at approximately 4:00 p.m.

Rivera is described as a white Hispanic female, 5’5″ tall and weighing 140 lbs. She left her home on foot and was wearing a red turtleneck under a black fleece jacket, blue jeans, white sneakers, and a black hat.

Police and family members are concerned for her welfare as Rivera suffers from aphasia which affects her ability to communicate even if offered help.

She frequents the Milestone Shopping Center and regularly attends services at Mother Seton Church in Germantown.

Anyone who has seen Rivera, or has information about her whereabouts, is asked to call Montgomery County Police at 301-279-8000.
