HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- The MARC commuter rail service in Maryland say it's running fewer trains due to low ridership in the wintry weather.
The Maryland Transit Administration said Tuesday that afternoon trains are running on abbreviated "S'' schedules on the MARC's Camden Line between Washington and Baltimore, and the Penn Line between Washington and Perryville.
That reduces the number of Camden Line trains from nine to six. On the Penn Line, only about half the trains are running.
On the Brunswick Line, MARC is canceling its westbound afternoon train No. 879. That train normally departs Washington at 5:40 p.m.
The agency says passengers can take train No. 871, departing Washington at 1:30 p.m., all the way to Martinsburg, W.Va. That train normally terminates in Brunswick.
