MANCHESTER, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police have arrested a Carroll County man after a barricade situation for several hours in Manchester.
Police say officers arrested 31-year-old Jordan Ecker of Manchester early Sunday morning. Troopers were called to Ecker's home about 3:45 a.m. for the report of shots fired at the residence. Witnesses said Ecker was drunk and passed out a short time after firing the weapon.
Police say Ecker was armed with two assault weapons and two handguns. A friend at the home secured the weapons after Ecker passed out.
Officers entered the home about 7 a.m. and arrested Ecker without incident. There were no injuries reported.
Police say Ecker will be charged with reckless endangerment.
