PERRYVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver police were pursuing in Perryville.
Troopers say about 2 a.m. Thursday, an officer with Elkton police tried to stop a speeding car on Route 40. Authorities say the vehicle continued driving and was pursued by officers from the Elkton and North East Police Departments and the Cecil County Sheriff's Office.
State police say the car crashed into the rear of a tractor trailer, killing the car's driver.
