BALTIMORE (AP) -- Gun-control advocates are planning a rally in Baltimore.
State Sen. Brian Frosh, D-Montgomery, is scheduled to join faith leaders and local advocates on Saturday to support comprehensive background checks.
They also are urging Maryland lawmakers to support bipartisan legislation that would extend background checks to cover private gun sales in commercial settings.
The rally is being organized by Mayors Against Illegal Guns and is part of a national push for tougher gun laws.
