TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County police say a teenager who lives in a home where a police officer was fatally shot has surrendered to face charges in a separate shooting a week earlier.
Police say 16-year-old Rasheed Stanford turned himself in Thursday evening. Police say he's being charged as an adult with attempted murder and other charges in connection with non-fatal August 19 shooting.
Officers were serving a search warrant at Stanford's Catonsville home early Wednesday morning when Officer Jason Schneider was shot and killed. The man suspected of shooting Schneider has died, and another teenager who was in the home at the time has been charged with weapons violations.
Stanford is being held at the county jail. Court records don't list a defense lawyer.
