FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- A former corrections officer has been sentenced to six years in prison for her role in a home invasion in Walkersville.
Thirty-one-year-old Cheryl White of Baltimore pleaded guilty to armed robbery on Tuesday.
Prosecutors say White and three men broke into a home on Oct. 20. One man pointed a gun at the resident.
Authorities say one of the men tied up the victim with duct tape and flex cuffs given to him by White. Prosecutors say while the robbers were going through the house, the victim was able to call 911 and hide the phone in a chair, leaving the line open.
Frederick County Sheriff's deputies went to the home and all four were arrested.
Prosecutors say White worked as a corrections officer from 2005 until her arrest.
