BALTIMORE (AP) -- A man wanted in several homicides in the Baltimore area has been arrested in Alabama.
The U.S. Marshals Service announced Wednesday says Darryl Anderson was arrested in Birmingham, Ala., and is awaiting extradition back to Baltimore.
Authorities say Anderson had been on the run for months and is considered a suspect in several homicides, including a shooting in Baltimore last month in which one woman was killed and two others injured.
Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts has referred to Anderson as "public enemy number one."
