Boyd, a University of Pittsburgh recruit, was named the game's most valuable player after accumulating 310 total yards, including 89 receiving and 68 passing.

The Pennsylvania all-star team scored the game's first 21 points in just 1:56, starting with Boyd's opening kickoff return. He added a 16-yard touchdown catch before fellow Clairton graduate and Pitt recruit Titus Howard scored on a 40-yard interception return.
