Anne Arundel firefighters rescue kitten from wall (Video)

WASHINGTON – Kittens can get into some tight spaces – it’s one of the things that’s so cute, and frustrating, about them.

But on Friday, one feline may have broken new ground: The Anne Arundel County Fire Department was called to free a kitten from a wall.

Firefighters were called to Nolpark Court in Glen Burnie, Md., after receiving a report of a cat stuck inside a wall of an apartment.

When they got there, they heard a faint meowing, according to a statement from the fire department, but they needed a thermal imager to trace the cat’s body heat and figure out where it was.

Once they found it, they cut a hole in the wall and found the kitten sitting on the fire stop. The department estimates it was no more than a few weeks old. They gave the cat to animal control officials, who took the kitten for veterinary care.

The department still doesn’t know how the kitten got there.
