EDGEWOOD, Md. (AP) -- The Harford County Sheriff's Office is identifying a man found dead in his Edgewood home.
Officials say deputies called to the home Sunday morning to check on 51-year-old Robert Wesley Johns, heard a television on inside and found blood on the locked front door. After looking through a window and seeing Johns on the floor, the deputies forced their way into the home and discovered that he was dead.
Investigators say the home had been ransacked.
Sheriff's office spokesman Ed Hopkins says investigators are looking at whether Johns' death is related to another call to the home about nine hours earlier.
Johns' body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
