EASTON, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say two people, including a trooper, have been injured in a crash on Route 50 in Easton.

Police say on Monday afternoon, an unmarked car driven by 43-year-old Detective Sgt. Kevin Beauchamp was traveling eastbound on Route 50 approaching Dutchman's Lane. Troopers say a van driven by 65-year-old Gail Mills of Easton was westbound on Route 50 and made a left turn, crossing into the path of Beauchamp's car.

Beauchamp and Mills were flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. Troopers say Mills is in serious condition and Beauchamp is in fair condition.

The accident is under investigation.
