MYERSVILLE, Md. -- Community members have pledged more than $63,000 to a family that lost two daughters in a Frederick County fire.
The January 31 house fire near Myersville claimed the lives of 6-year-old Sophie Paige Lillard and 3-year-old Madigan Grace Lillard.
The Frederick News-Post says (http://bit.ly/XXf5gZ) more than half of the money was raised by Fit for Life Boot Camp, an organization in which the girls' mother, Christine Lillard, was involved.
The Lillard family issued a statement saying it was grateful for the support.
Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire, which gutted the house and caused an estimate $200,000 in damage.
