PERRY HALL, Md. - Baltimore County officials say that a fight broke out between two students at Perry Hall High School and staff later found brass knuckles near the scene.
A Baltimore County schools spokesman says the fight happened Tuesday and that there was no evidence the brass knuckles were used. The spokesman, Charles Herndon, says the fight may have sparked rumors that another violent event Wednesday. Herndon says there is no threat at the school, but the principal asked for increased police presence.
Perry Hall was the site earlier this year of a shooting on the first day of school. Police have charged one teenager, Robert W. Gladden Jr., with shooting a 17-year-old schoolmate, Daniel Borowy, with a shotgun. The shooting happened in the school's cafeteria.
