FREDERICK, Md. - A Frederick County Sheriff's Office report says two men who tried to float to Walmart on the Monocacy River after superstorm Sandy and had to be rescued didn't see the danger in the trip.
The Frederick News-Post ( http://bit.ly/UaobHz) on Tuesday reported on the incident report. It says Marvin Lee Kingsbury and Charles Kent Bowers planned to float about five miles Oct. 30 on a raft.
Bowers told the newspaper he would do it again. He also noted that they were not charged. Kingsbury didn't respond to the newspaper for comment.
Investigators say the trip could have cost the men and their rescuers their lives. The report says a trooper told Kingsbury's wife to notify authorities, if the men attempted to make the trip again, so deputies could stop them.
