WASHINGTON - Police in Glen Burnie are seeking the public's assistance in finding a vehicle involved with a hit and run.
Around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Mountain Road near Jumpers Hole Road in Glen Burnie.
The pedestrian was a man, probably in his late 30s, who suffered severe trauma. He was transported to Shock Trauma and is in critical condition.
The preliminary investigation shows he was likely crossing the road, but not in a crosswalk, when struck.
Police are looking for a maroon or burgundy minivan or SUV that struck the man and fled the scene eastbound on Mountain Road.
Anyone with information, especially about the suspect vehicle, should call the Anne Arundel County Police Department at 410-222-8610 or the Traffic Safety Section at 410-222-8573.
