Md. man sentenced to life for attempted rape

SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury man has been sentenced to life in prison for the attempted rape of a woman on the campus of Salisbury University.
Twenty-year-old Maurice James had been convicted of attempted first-degree rape in the attack on March 31.
The Daily Times of Salisbury ( http://bit.ly/SJGbay) reports that the victim had testified that while she was walking to a friend's apartment, she was grabbed and a man put his hand over her mouth. She said they fought on the ground, and the man pulled some of her clothing off, but she continued to fight back.
