EDGEWATER, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel County police say a man who tried to rob a convenience store fled without money when the clerk became ill.
It happened about 1 a.m. Sunday at the Xtra Mart Fuel on Solomons Island Road. Police say the robber entered the store, displayed a knife and demanded money from the clerk.
The Capital of Annapolis reports police as saying the clerk began to breathe heavily and fell to the floor. The robber continued to demand money from the clerk, but the clerk told him to get the cash himself.
Frustrated, the robber left without any money and fled in a car.
