ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Former Baltimore Orioles star Cal Ripken Jr. has been inducted into the International League Hall of Fame.
Thousands of fans came out to cheer Ripken Tuesday night during a pregame ceremony at Frontier Field in Rochester. Ripken played for the minor league Rochester Red Wings in 1981 before being called up to the Orioles.
Ripken, who was inducted into the major league Hall of Fame in Cooperstown in 2007, said he was pleased with the new honor.
