BALTIMORE - Public works officials are reminding Baltimore area residents that swimming is banned at all the city's reservoirs.
Baltimore City has three raw-water reservoirs: Prettyboy, Loch Raven and Liberty. Officials say the water can be tempting in the current heat wave, but the reservoirs are not safe for swimming.
Swimming is also banned at man-made Druid Lake, Lake Montebello and Lake Ashburton.
Residents are also reminded that it is illegal to open fire hydrants.
