Hagerstown, Md., catnip maker moving to Ohio

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Catnip maker Cosmic Pet Products is moving from Hagerstown to Mentor, Ohio, to be near its corporate parent.
A spokeswoman for OurPet's Co. of Fairport Harbor, Ohio, told The Herald-Mail ( http://bit.ly/LvD9Wc) Wednesday that the move will occur by the end of June.
The Washington County economic development office says the Hagerstown plant had 22 full-time and 10 part-time workers in 2011.
Founder Leon Seidman started Cosmic Pet in 1975. OurPet's acquired it in 2010.
