Brandywine man pleads guilty to armed bank robbery

BALTIMORE - Authorities say a Maryland man has pleaded guilty to armed bank robbery and other charges.
Prosecutors, police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation say 36-year-old Samuel Sullivan Jr., of Brandywine, Md., met with a cousin in December of 2009 to plan a bank robbery. According to Sullivan's plea agreement, the cousin stole a handgun from his mother's house and Sullivan drove his cousin to a BB&T bank in Crofton on Dec. 30 of that year.
The agreement says that the two entered the bank wearing ski masks and eventually fled with more than $10,700.
Sullivan faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison for armed robbery.
The cousin, 23-year-old Andrew Hooker-Orange, is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 24.
