WASHINGTON (AP) -- Washington Wizards and Capitals owner Ted Leonsis says he doesn't ask for much from the District of Columbia government -- but he says better traffic control and increased security around Verizon Center would be nice.

Leonsis spoke to Associated Press reporters and editors on Tuesday. He praised the city government and the administration of Mayor Vincent Gray, saying the city has never been friendlier to business.

He says he doesn't have many "asks," but he'd like to see better synchronization of traffic lights so fans from Maryland and Virginia can get home more easily after games. He also says he'd like to see a stronger police presence around Verizon Center because a major incident of violence would unnerve the millions who attend games there and patronize area businesses.
