Carjackings near Vienna Metro may be related

WASHINGTON — The same man may be responsible for two abductions where
women were carjacked at gunpoint in Vienna, Virginia, and then left in New
Carrollton, Maryland, after being forced to withdraw cash from ATMs.

Metro Transit, Fairfax County and Prince George’s County
police are working together to investigate the cases.

The
Metro Transit Police Department and the href=”http://fcpdnews.wordpress.com/2014/11/20/reported-carjacking-in-the-
fairfax-area/”>Fairfax County Police Department both released the same
composite sketch of the suspect. He is described as a black man, in his 20s,
about 5 feet 10 inches tall.

The most recent carjacking happened about 10:30 p.m. on
Wednesday, Nov. 12 at the Vienna Metrorail Station in Fairfax County.

Metro spokesman Dan Stessel says the kidnapper forced the woman to make four
stops along Annapolis Road in Prince George’s County to get money and buy
alcohol from a liquor store.

Fairfax County police say around 9:50 p.m. on Friday, Nov.
7, a woman was carjacked from a Walgreen’s parking lot on Nutley Street near
the
Vienna Metrorail Station. She was taken to banks to withdraw cash.

In each case the suspect got out of the woman’s car at the New Carrollton
Metrorail Station in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The women were not
hurt.
