Pregnant woman shot at Northeast apartment

WASHINGTON — A woman who is five months pregnant was shot and
critically
wounded in Northeast D.C. on Saturday.

At 12:47 p.m., D.C. Metropolitan Police officers went to an apartment house
along 58th Street NE, where they found a wounded woman inside a hallway.

After the woman was taken to a local hospital, officers and case workers
brought
several children out of the building.

Detectives from the D.C. Police Department’s Sixth District announced
an arrest has been made in connection with the assault. By 8:35 p.m. Saturday
evening, police arrested 25-year-old Terrell Bringier of Lanham, Maryland. He
is charged with assault with intent to kill in connection with the shooting.

He was arrested in Northeast, D.C.
