Teen arrested in Ft. Meade carjacking

UPDATE 11:13 p.m. 11/9/2015: The county police say that the teenager has turned himself in.

EARLIER: WASHINGTON — The police are looking for a teenager who they say carjacked another teenager in Fort Meade Friday and hasn’t been seen since.

The Anne Arundel County police say that a 17-year-old was driving on F Street, near the Meade Senior High School, at about noon Friday when the suspect jumped out in front of the car and pointed a handgun at the driver and his dog. The suspect then got into the car and forced the driver to take him to the Orchard Food Market, on Reece Road, about two miles away, the police say. Then he got out and walked away. No one was hurt.

The police were contacted about two hours later, and during the investigation learned that shortly before the incident the suspect had entered the high school, where he was not a student, to see his girlfriend, and was promptly removed.

They’ve charged a 17-year-old from Glen Burnie as an adult with carjacking, assault, animal cruelty, weapons charges and more. His mother has reported him as a missing person.
