BALTIMORE (AP) — A former bank employee has been sentenced to seven years in prison for her involvement in an armed bank robbery in Dundalk.
Janaya Person-Robinson of Baltimore was sentenced in federal court in Baltimore on Wednesday.
Prosecutors say the 20-year-old had been a teller-in-training at an M&T Bank in Dundalk and was familiar with the bank’s layout and procedures.
They say she provided key information to 20-year-old Darrius Washington of Baltimore to rob the bank, joining him last October as he pointed a gun at two tellers’ heads, threatened to kill them, and gained access to the vault.
Person-Robinson and Washington were arrested a short time later with a canvas bag filled with $133,000.
Washington is serving an 11-year prison sentence for the bank robbery.
