Hit-and-run driver sought in fatal Richmond wreck

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Virginia State Police say one person is dead following a four-vehicle wreck triggered by a hit-and-run driver.

State police tell media outlets that the accident occurred around 12:54 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 95 in Richmond.

State police say a sedan hit an SUV and didn’t stop. The SUV then hit a jersey wall and came to rest in the center lane. It was hit by a vehicle driven by 25-year-old William Presley IV of Petersburg. A fourth vehicle then struck Presley’s vehicle.

State police say Pressley died at the scene. Four other people suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital.
