Police: Va. fisherman’s death appears accidental

GRETNA, Va. (AP) — Police say the death of a Danville fisherman appears to be accidental.

The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office tells media outlets that 39-year-old Larry Wayne Miller drowned after a canoe flipped.

Police say Miller was fishing with a friend on a pond in Gretna when their canoe flipped Saturday evening.
