Varsity players accused of assault on JV player

WASHINGTON — Three varsity football players in Loudoun County, Virginia are accused of assaulting a junior varsity player, according to the Loudoun Times.

Kraig Troxell, spokesperson for the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, says a School Resource Officer at Briar Woods High School in Ashburn, Virginia is working with detectives in the Criminal Investigations Division to investiage an alleged assault at the school.

The incident was reported on Friday afternoon.

Loudoun County Public Schools spokesperson Wayde Byard tells WTOP the school system is cooperating with the police and cannot comment on the ongoing investigation.
