ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A cyclist was hospitalized after crashing into another cyclist during a group ride in Anne Arundel County.
The Capital of Annapolis reports (http://bit.ly/1sYJlMN ) that the collision occurred in Crownsville just before 10 a.m. on Sunday during the Lifeline 100 Anne Arundel County Century Ride. Police say a 53-year-old man was taken to the hospital. The other cyclist was not hospitalized.
More than 500 cyclists participated in the ride on Sunday, tackling 15- 56- and 100-mile routes.
The proceeds from the event will be donated to various nonprofit organizations.
