WASHINGTON — Police in Washington, D.C. are asking for the public’s help finding two 12-year-old girls who haven’t been seen since earlier this week.
Police are looking for Taniya Moore and Daekyia Shropshire. There does not appear to be a connection between the girls.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, Moore was last seen around 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9 in the area of 9th and Yuma streets in Southeast. She is described as black, 5 feet tall, 115 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair with dreadlocks. Moore was last seen wearing an Army-green polo shirt, tan khaki pants, hot pink canvas tennis shoes and a black jacket. Police said she may be wearing a gold-colored necklace with a bow-shaped charm and matching bow-shaped gold earrings.
Shropshire has not been seen since Monday, Oct. 6 in the Unit block of M Street in Northeast. She is described as black, 5-foot-3, 105 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. Police did not have any details about what she was last seen wearing.
