How to score postseason Nationals tickets

WASHINGTON — Take note baseball fans: there are tickets available to see playoff baseball in person at Nationals Park.

While the Washington Nationals’ website says single game tickets, currently unavailable, may be released randomly online — there are plenty on the secondary market.

Some tickets being offered for Friday’s Home Game 1 against the San Francisco Giants are set at absurd prices suggesting the owner doesn’t really want to release them, but others may seem reasonable to devoted fans.

At last check Thursday morning, StubHub.com has an Upper Infield Gallery 417 seat available for $11,002.40. But, there are plenty of tickets in the $80 range for nosebleed seating and standing room only.

GreatSeats.com offers lower level seats in the low- to mid-$400 range, standing room tickets are $61 and numbers of seats are available in the $70-$200 range, as of Thursday morning.

Regular season tickets at Nationals Park cost $38 on average. Playoff tickets available now represent a 575 percent price jump.

The Washington Business Journal reports Nationals Park Division Series tickets average $256, according to an online aggregator of tickets on the secondary market.

The Nationals Park Box Office will release a limited number of standing room only tickets before the game. Fans may need to line up hours before the game to score some of those.

Friday’s game will be televised on Fox Sports 1. You can listen live to all the action on Federal News Radio 1500 AM.

The Washington Nationals take on the San Francisco Giants at 3 p.m. Friday Oct. 3.
