RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Richmond police say two people have been found dead inside an apartment.
Capt. Martin A. Harrison tells media outlets that police received a call shortly after 10 p.m. Monday about shots fired at the Meadow Creek apartment complex. He says the bodies of a man and a woman were found inside an apartment. They had been shot.
Witnesses say they heard several gunshots and later saw police carrying a baby from the apartment complex. The baby appeared to be unharmed.
A police plane flew overhead shortly after the shooting, but police did not say whether they were looking for a suspect.
Harrison estimated that the victims are in their 20s. Their names were not immediately released.
