WASHINGTON — Flags in Maryland, Virginia and D.C. are flying at half-staff in honor of 9/11.
Gov. Martin O’Malley ordered the Maryland and U.S. flags flown at half-staff in memory of the people who died on that day.
Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe did the same.
In D.C., the city started flying the flags at half-staff Wednesday in honor of Carolyn Cross, the Department of Corrections worker murdered in Alexandria, Virginia. The flags will continue to fly at half-staff Thursday.
It’s been 13 years since the attacks on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center.
